As you can see I am becoming more active with my posts… Guess I have alot to share. Pay close attention to this one. It’s a “game changer!”
IS IT GOOD OR BAD?
Last week I posted about some openings I had for coaching and consulting with a select few clients who are dedicated to growing their businesses /practices and spitting in the face of all the bad news that keeps coming out. Got a lot of responses and had to turn some away but I really did enjoy most of the conversations so thanks !
ONE CONVERSATION AFTER ANOTHER HAD A SIMILAR THEME.
Seems most are working much harder than ever before just to stay even. Unfortunately, many are barely hanging on!
DO YOU KNOW THE DEFINITION OF “INSANITY?”
It’s doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different result ( write that one down!)
Many have decided that the answer to this economy is simply to cut expenses and just work harder. Have you noticed a bunch of burnout people who seem a bit edgy and nasty lately? Maybe you are even one of them. I sure was! I was so proud that I could literally outwork anyone.
My wife used to call herself a “mortgage widow” – My kids and I didn’t spend much time together and when we were together I was mentally not there or on the phone.
ARE YOU PHYSICALLY BUT NOT MENTALLY THERE?
Working hard is something that has been drummed into our heads since childhood. Don’t misunderstand me. You must work hard- But you must also work SMART!
The internet has changed the game for every business. Here are a few questions for you to ask yourself.
1. Are prospects able to find you on-line when they are looking for your product or service?
2. Do you have an irresistible offer?
3. Why should they use you instead of anyone else? PLEASE DON”T SAY BECAUSE YOU GIVE GOOD SERVICE AND ARE THE CHEAPEST! that’s not a reason !!!! or at least a reason that will help you grow!
4. Do you communicate with your current clients? Do you a way to encourage referrals? Do you have a mechanism to cross sell them other products or services?
5. Do you follow up with the prospects who don’t immediately buy from you?
6. Do you what a client is worth to your business? If you don’t than how can you possibly know how much to invest in your advertising?
7. Do you even know what advertising is or is not working? OR WORSE — are you even advertising at all.
THESE ARE SOME OF THE QUESTIONS I HAVE BEEN HELPING MY CLIENTS ADDRESS AT MY NEW COMPANY

So stop working hard– think about these questions. Most can be addressed with systems that work on auto-pilot. Yet few know about them. It’s your job to find out!!
Let me ask you a simple question – I have asked many times before.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR HOURS WORTH? With this new economy in full steam many of the clients I spoke with seem to be doing “manual labor” to save money. But are they really saving?
LET”S SEE.
You want to take 2 weeks off each year and work 40 hours a week.
You want to earn 100,000 dollars a year.
Business is off so you are at the office late working on a mailing licking stamps
sending out invoices and returning calls in between the paperwork and filing
your assistant used to take care of before you “had’ to let her go.
You are in on Saturdays and Sundays when the phones aren’t ringing
and you can get some of the important small stuff done you couldn’t get to.
I know this drill — did it myself for 2 decades.
RESULT: You are working hard — not smart– just hard.
YOUR HOUR based on the example above is worth 50.00 an hour but you
are killing yourself doing work you could hire out at 7.00 an hour.
You are edgy at home- You are edgy at work and you are just sitting
there watching your income go down- A total bundle of nerves.
Come on – ADMIT IT !!!!
That’s the first step – Second step is doing something about it.
I’ll tell you something very simple yet very profound. ready?
The key to getting wealthy and succeeding is NOT CUTTING COSTS.
You can only cut so much.
THE KEY IS GENERATING MORE INCOME!
It kills me to meet with clients and see all of the untapped money sitting in their businesses.

But for now please re-read and think about what I have laid out for you here.
