Do you say it enough? Most of us don’t. No — this is not some thanksgiving message. But saying THANKS is really important … especially for sales.
SAY THANKS WHEN:
- Some buys from you.
-Someone doesn’t buy from you.
-Someone hasn’t bought from you in a while.
This is really important to understand on a few different levels.
First- it’s just the right thing to do.. Most of us take our customers for granted which is a big mistake. Especially NOW!
Aside from the obvious reason so you can stay in touch.. Why not tell your previous customers that you miss them.. EVEN give them an incentive for coming back.
And those people who don’t buy from you this time… What about them. Why not take a second and thank them for the opportunity and stay in touch with them.
During my career as an originator I can’t tell you how many Realotrs told me to get lost… But I just kept thanking them and returning agian and again. GUESS WHAT– I earned most of their business.
WHY?
Some just admired my persistence. Others just weren’t ready for me yet… The person they were using was just fine.. UNTIL that one day when that person messed up and there I was ready to earn their business.
Don’t be fooled by thinking this is just important for a service business. IT applies to all businesses.
People say to me all the time “you didn’t have to do that”
MY RESPONSE IS ALWAYS THE SAME– “Yup- you’re right . I didnot have to do that- but isn’t that what makes it special….”
Now STOP and THINK about how you can start using this idea. TODAY !!! in your business to generate more sales..IN fact you might even want to stop what you are doing and make that list and buy the cards and stamps so you can have them out before the end of the week.
