Last week many of you were nice enough to fill out a short survey. Thanks . After sharing the results I wanted to point out a VERY big lesson. One that could make you a lot of moola .
In the survey one of the questions was which would you invest in your education? $97 – $77.00 – $47.0:
WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ANSWER WAS?
If you said $47.00 you are correct. But let’s dig a little deeper here. Almost 83% choose this figure.
NO ONE SAID 77.00
THAT MEANS 17% SAID $97.00 and that’s what this lesson is all about.
First let me acknowledge that we are in a recession /depression whatever you want to call it.So I know everyone is watching their purchases. Right? Well iof that is what you have been thinkong than let me share this lesson with you . See -No matter what service or product you offer there will ALWAYS be those who want the basic version and those who want the very best!
WHY?
If you read any of the books on “WHY” we buy things it seems our brains are hard wired to think the most expensive is always the best.
OR we may feel that the most expnsive will produce faster results
OR we may just want to show people that we can afford the very best for our egos. Look in your own closet at the designer clothes — Does that label REALLY make it better? In some cases yes- but in some NO !
SO HERE”S THE BOTTOM LINE AND HOW TO USE IT TO MAKE MORE PROFITS
Whatever you offer always make sure that you have a more expensive option as well. Often times the more expensive option serves to make the “real” offer seem like a true value. In some stores they offer an expensive model just to justify the price of the model they are trying to sell which now seems less expensive. Same with practices and those selling services.
So there you have it. Now go put it to use and increase your profits and wealth.

Brian: Recently, a column was written on this very subject, about Apple’s pricing. And there is a book that I am reading now called “How We Decide,” which I think you might find interesting.

thanks Chris- there is an entire body of new work and books on the topic
of how our brains decide and how to use that in your marketing
I am hoping to cover some of those tactics when we open up for membership in the near future
