A SIMPLE YET OVERLOOKED MARKETING SECRET

I decided to try something a little different here and make our posts into a  newsletter type format. What do you think?  Would love to hear your feedback in the comments area below. Since this is all about profits and wealth I’ll break it into some bite sized – actionable chunks for you in each area.

I consult with many business owners , marketers, info marketers and some who want to own their own businesses. Yet I see so many making one huge mistake.
It’s probably because what I am about to tell you is so simple that people either miss it entirely or just don’t truly understand the true power of this simple statement.
Honestly , it took me a while to “get it” as well so don’t feel bad. READY?
DON’T TRY TO SELL PEOPLE WHAT YOU HAVE – FIND OUT WHAT’S NEEDED AND THEN GO SELL IT TO THOSE PEOPLE!

Did you write that one down? You should!

Let me explain with a few examples.

Years ago my parents had a shoe store. They struggled. The economy was bad and there was a lot of competition. They were focused on selling shoes and always made the windows look pretty, were on the lookout for new styles, would stay open later and open up earlier.

Then one day one of the companies they bought shoes from to resell decided they would open up a retail store down the street.
They were selling shoes at retail for less than we could buy them for wholesale.

BIG PROBLEM OR A REAL OPPORTUNITY?

At first it seemed like a real problem. The kind that would put most people out of business. But in reality it was a big opportunity. It made them refocus on the “REAL “ business.
Their store was in a working class area of town that had many immigrants from eastern European countries. Guess what they have? WIDE FEET?

These folks couldn’t fit into a narrow or medium regardless of price or style.

So they started selling ONLY wide width shoes.

YES THIS DOES APPLY TO YOUR BUSINESS TOO !

Before you dismiss this because you don’t own a shoe store—stop and really think about it. Want another example?  OK!

What if you are in the mortgage business? You could offer mortgages or you could find a group who needs help and is underserved. Like seniors!!!!! Then become a Reverse mortgage specialist..

BOTTOM LINE: STOP trying to sell your product to people and find the people who need a product and just simply give it to them…

FIRST QUARTER IS OVER – HOW DID IT GO?

The first quarter of the year is over- 3 quarters to go. Are you on track?

If your goal was 100,000 for the year than you should have made 25,000 already?
Did you?

If not why not?

Better to realize that now then at the end of the 4th quarter when it is too late. Wealth is like a trip and you need to always be making sure you are on track.

Our profit and wealth club members and consulting clients by and far have surpassed where they need to be – not all but most have.

Of course I have been keeping them focused and on a tight leash.

What you need to do is break your goals down to manageable chunks.  Like one of the members who simply wants to earn 1000 a day – everyday – including Saturday – Sunday and holidays!

IT’S NOT ENOUGH TO WANT IT – YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO IT!

That’s the key thought most books/courses/ and guru’s don’t tell you. You need an actionable plan but then you need to take action.

So once you have finished reading this and leaving your thoughts below go make a list of what you need to do to get where you want to go …..then get going !!!!

HONEST CONFESSION: The reason for this whole post is the thoughts I had this morning when I woke up- specifically feeling fat and bloated. It didn’t help that we went out to a new Mexican restaurant and had a few drinks.

But the other reality is that although I have  a specific target weight and date I want to attain it—I haven’t been to the gym- and have been eating whatever I want whenever I want.

So I’m going to end this edition right now and get my big butt off to the gym!!!!

Do you know Facebook is now larger than google.
I have been trying some ads on facebook and they have
been working out ok–
Not great- but not terrible either. There is a big difference
between the 2 in the way someone sees your ad.
In google search they are actually looking for it
In facebook your ad appears even though they aren’t searching

EITHER WAY YOU SHOULD HAVE A FAN PAGE
Having a Facebook fan page  isn’t really a question
