THE BIG 4 ATTENTION GETTERS

One of the I things I truly enjoy is reading books on marketing , sales , persuasion and
direct response. In fact I believe it’s actually a success formula.

If you know these skills you are truly unstoppable.

-Time Managemet
- Salesmanship
-Marketing
-Persuasion
-Mindset
And of course technical knowledege in your chosen field.

This is the formula I have taught for over a decade and the one
that turned me from a paycheck to paycheck regular “guy”
into a millionaire.
More importantly – it has done the same for dozens of others
I have worked with closely and coached…
that’s how I know it is “formulaic” it works on others and in all in differnt fields

As I write this it dawns on me that maybe I should turn this into

Anyway– one of the books I am currently reading is from 1960
and it’s callou called EMOTIONAL APPEAL

Not sure if you can even find it anymore.

The book suggests that all of us are pre-occupied
in our own worlds and issuses.

AND BEFORE YOU CAN MAKE A SALE YOU
HAVE TO BREAK US OUT OF THIS TRANCE
BUY APPEALING TO THE OUR PRIMARY MODE.

Meaning — we are all primarily motivated by one of four things

1.ROMANCE

2. RECOGNITION

3. SELF -PRESERVATION

4. MONEY

These 4 appeals are the BIG ONES!!!

and to succeed with that person

you must first find out which one of the four
they are in and snap them out of it..

Think about it–
If you are single you may be pre occupied with Romance!
If you are out of work right now – Money or Self Preservation  may be YOUR big one.

Here’s what I want you to do..

Think about your product or service…
Then think of each of these appeals
Then try to tie your product to each one and use them in your marketing.

YEAH- I KNOW – HOW CAN YOUR PRODUCT BE TIED TO MONEY – ROMANCE BLAH BLAH BLAH

Let’s take a car – and you are a salesman

Romance- how sexy you will be in that convertible
Self Preservation- How well built the car is and how safe it is.
Recognition-  How your friends and neighbors will see you when you pull up in that car
Money- How efficient it is – How long it will last – the great gas mileage it gets

Starting to see the point? I hope so!

Oh — You sell a service????

Let’s Take Insurance

Romance- How sexy your spouse will think you are because you cared enough  to protect them
Recognition- How Smart you are to get this policy — that is actually an investment
Money- You are making sure your family is provided for and has no money worries
Self Preservation- How you are protecting your self and family against unexpected disasters

OK– NOW STOP READING AND START THINKING — AND WRITING IT DOWN

After all knowledge without action is useless!
