<div><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;">I just got back from the Apple Store. If you have one near you I suggest just going there to observe what&#8217;s going on. The entire mall was a ghost town except</span><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;">for the Apple Store which was jammed with people.<br />
A few weeks ago I met with a potential client who is also a friend. He has a great business but is always looking to grow it even more ( first sign of a successful person).</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;">We spoke for a while and he told me about a few consulting clients he had just started working with. They needed his expertise and he was able to save one of them almost 250,000. But he was getting tired of going after these clients one by one. </span></div>

<div><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;">As we laid out the issue it seemed like there was a very simple solution&#8211; WEBINARS  I have been using webinars and teleseminars for almost 10 years. Recently I totaled up some of these webinars and teleseminars and the total shocked me.</p>
<p>THE NUMBER 7.9 MILLION ( yes that&#8217;s wi th a M) WORTH OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES!<br />
Many of them yielded $100,000 or more. But that&#8217;s not even the good news &#8211; so stay with me here.</span></div>

BUT THE BEST PART OF ALL is that with technology these days I am able to have them &#8220;feel&#8221; live while it&#8217;s simply a recording. I am also able to test when people leave and other parts of the system and constantly improve them. </span></div>

When we were meeting to discuss the option of him using webinars to do the &#8220;heavy lifting&#8221; he started looking at me with a funny look. Then he told me what was bothering him.</span></div>
<div><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;">Here I was talking to him about the proprietary software I have that will help him grow his business and I was taking notes with a pen and paper while my rumpled day planner was on the table next to me.  </span></div>
<div><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;">IT WAS A TOTAL DISCONNECT- Talking about technology and using a pad and paper instead of an IPAD. So I broke down today- threw out my pads and got the IPAD2 64mb with 3g wireless.</span></div>

<p>I wouldn&#8217;t mind being called a &#8220;flake&#8221; on a national tv show and neither should you. Controversy sells! Being outrageous<br />
sells. Doing things out of the norm gets you noticed and gets you new customers and tons of Free Publicity!</p>
<p>While Matthews insulted Bachmann in reality she should send him a thank you !</p>
<p>She is still being talked about &#8211; She is getting noticed- She now has some QUICK momentum she didn&#8217;t have just last week!</p>
<p>How can you do something outrageous to get noticed?</p>
<p>What is standard in your industry and what can you do to break that standard?</p>
<p>Years ago when the real -estate market was robust Lenders were giving loans to buyers who had a bankruptcy</p>
<p>but requiring them to put down at least 20 % and were charging high rates and fees.</p>
<p>THAT WAS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD.</p>
<p><strong>SO I BROKE IT !!! </strong>I wrote a book called YES YOU CAN GET A MORTGAGE with low rates and low closing costs<br />
even if you had a bankruptcy. I publicly scolded lenders for overcharging people who had unfortunate circumstances.<br />
RESULTS: Appearances on 42 radio shows around the country. Appearances on CBS-NBC-ABC- COMCAST .<br />
Book went to # 1 on Amazon and stayed there for a while.</p>
<p>Take a second here and think about how you can apply this!!! Then go ahead and do it!<br />

<p><strong>IMAGINE- ONE PERSON GETTING 30,000 STRANGERS TO DO SOMETHING- SPONTANEOUSLY!</strong></p>
<p>Fads happen this way- Businesses become successful this way&#8211; Money is made this way!</p>
<p>WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THE WAVE?</p>
<p>First- things can catch on quickly and you need to know how to harness that power<br />

Truthfully , it wasn&#8217;t that the commercial was that great but it had a great marketing lesson in it that I wanted to share with you. One that so few of us think about but one that has the ability to add six figures to your bottom line in net income &#8212; or more.</p>
<p>The commercial start off with a kid and his mom in a store looking for board games to play that night. He picks out the game of LIFE ( I personally never liked that game) and then a pizza flashes on the screen.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT DOES A PIZZA HAVE TO DO WITH THE GAME OF LIFE?</strong></p>
<p><strong>EVERYTHING !!!!!!</strong></p>
<p>The deal was that you get a FREE TOMBSTONE PIZZA when you purchase a game of life. There are several marketing lessons here I want you to pay attention to:</p>
<p><strong>FIRST</strong>- The subliminal message&#8211; a great one in this economy&#8211; is stay at home and have fun &#8212; it&#8217;s cheaper! It&#8217;s very smart to put those CORE subliminal messages and anchors in all of your advertising. The reader is more motivated to act when they get a sense of the &#8220;feelings&#8221; your message is trying to convey</p>
<p><strong>SECOND</strong>- This pizza company has now found a GREAT way to promote their product. One that is a &#8220;direct&#8221; message to market match! Think of a tie in with your programs or products- Doesn&#8217;t matter if it is a product or a service.</p>
<p>What compliments what you offer?<br />
Now there are two effective ways to do this.</p>
<p>1. YOU FIND THE &#8220;PARTNERS&#8221; and start promoting each others products thereby reducing the ad costs for both of you and ultimately creating a more &#8220;in-sync&#8221; message for the audience.</p>
<p>2. START offering that product yourself.</p>

<p>The holidays are now a short time away. Most will be traveling to be with family and friends. Parties with your neighbors , co-workers. Then of course there are the business parties you get dragged to with your spouse and significant other.</p>
<p>When you go to these parties you will probably run into people you haven’t met before. Then there all the people who you haven’t seen in a long time who want to catch up.</p>
<p>WHAT WILL YOU TELL THEM?</p>
<p>After all the small talk the conversation will most likely turn to “WHAT ARE YOU DOING THESE DAYS?” right? What will you tell them? If you are like most people you will tell them you are in the _____ business right? Then you sit back and hear all their feedback about how sorry they are for you &#8212;blah blah blah blah. Almost like the way someone consoles someone at a funeral.</p>
<p>Then of course they will ask  How’s business? Maybe they will even tell you some horror stories about how their neighbor got tossed out of their home or their cousin who just went bankrupt.</p>
<p>BUT NONE OF THIS HELPS YOU DOES IT?</p>
<p>You don’t need anyone to feel sorry for you . In fact, you might even be having a decent to good year since there is so much less competition.</p>
<p>SO WHAT ARE YOU GETTING AT BRIAN?</p>
<p>See the truth is that you really are <strong>NOT</strong> in the______  business. You are <strong>NOT</strong> a _____. You fill in the blanks. <br />
<strong>YOU ARE A PROBLEM SOLVER…. PERIOD!!!</strong></p>
<p>In my casenNo one wakes up and “wants” a mortgage. They <strong>NEED </strong>A MORTGAGE. They either have to buy a home and <strong>need</strong> a mortgage. They want lower payments and they <strong>NEED</strong> a mortgage. They need some extra cash and <strong>NEED</strong> a mortgage.</p>
<p>WHAT ARE YOU OFFERING A SOLUTION TO ??? WHAT DO THEY NEED FROM YOU?</p>
<p>One of the BIG IDEAS I have always taught and integrated into our business is the concept of being the expert in a niche. In other words solving a particular problem clients’ face.</p>
<p>So when we are at these parties here’s what we say:<br />
“We help seniors who own their own homes solve their financial challenges with the Reverse Mortgage program.”</p>
<p>Now that is a conversation starter. Instead of the pity party and 20 questions about rates and points, we are usually asked what do we mean?</p>
<p>We can than go on to discuss the program and the pros and cons. Guess what. Most people will either know of a someone who is a senior and having some challenges or have a relative who would benefit from the program.</p>
<p>HERE IS THE BIG IDEA YOU NEED TO IMPLEMENT !</p>
<p>This concept is called a USP- Unique Selling Position or as I call it – YOUR ELEVATOR SPEECH. Think of it as you being in an elevator with someone who asks you the “What do you do question” and you only have 30 seconds to answer it.</p>
